PLAY CONDITION SERVICE OVERVIEW
1> Disassemble
- DISASSEMBLE EXCEPTIONS LIST - May be discussed prior to work or during work if discovered and outside of the processing of general servicing work.
- No extra charge for minor stuck mouthpiece work that doesn’t cause additional damage or require removing solder points or re-soldering.
- Stuck Slide(s) might be included depending on how many are stuck, severity and if additional soldering or other work is required to remove one or more. Options to be discussed.
- Stuck Pistons, Rotors and piston / valve case damage (may require additional service charges due to the nature of additional servicing and what may have to be done outside of the general servicing schedule.)
2> De-grease & Chem Clean, Ultrasonic small parts (mouthpiece, pistons, rotors, and tuning slides)
3> Swab out deposit buildups.
4> Check the mouthpiece for shank roundness and re-round if needed.
5> Rough out accessible minor dent removal that doesn't require unsoldering or extensive work to remove.
6> Check piston, rotor and slide alignments. For trombone handslides minor alignment and accessible dent removal, more extensive trombone handslide work is extra and will need to be quoted on a case by case basis.
7> Replace Water Key cork(s) and springs as needed.
8> Replace Piston Corks, Felts, restring rotors as needed.
9> Lubricate pistons, rotors and slides.
10> Reassemble

Play condition servicing is recommended as a yearly service and for newly purchased used un-serviced brass musical instruments.

Whatever it may be, the play condition service improves your instrument to tip top performance condition as an all in one comprehensive service value that exceeds the price of the service.
