WEYMANN "KEYSTONE STATE" AMERICAN LEGION CORPS HERALD BUGLE

Circa 1920 to 1940

7C TRUMPET MOUTHPIECE INCLUDED

NO CASE

What a nice find this is. This Herald Bugle was designed for American Legion Post Drum & Bugle Corps use in the 1920's to 1940 at the beginning of what we now know as drum and bugle corps (DCI) and were also made by other makers like Conn, King. Very nice trumpet like feel and focus. Quality American made musical instrument built some time between 1920 and 1940. During recondition we discovered that who ever tried to fix this before was not a repair tradesman and used heavy duty welds and a piece of stock material for one of the braces. We undid some of this but only so much could be done as parts do not exist. Playability was brought back there is some plating missing. Reconditioned and ready for the next century of ceremonial use for TAPS and other Bugle Calls. Tuning slide is adjustable to G and F tuning. Comes with a standard trumpet mouthpiece.
